What's in the name

At Cozi-Roots LLC, every detail of our name and logo holds deep meaning. Inspired by my favorite animal—the owl—our logo represents wisdom, nurture, and community. Owls are not only known for their intelligence and watchful nature, but many species, like the Eastern Screech Owl and the Tawny Owl, are known to care for chicks that are not their own. This natural instinct to protect and nurture mirrors the heart of our work. As caregivers—whether doulas, newborn care specialists, night nurses, nurse assistants, or nannies—we step into each family’s world with the same level of care, trust, and wisdom. We bring knowledge to parents and parents-to-be in every facet of their journey, becoming a steady and supportive presence—just like the wise old owl. The “Cozi” in our name reflects the warmth and comfort we bring into each home. The “Roots” symbolize the beginning of parenthood, grounded in birth and nurtured through every stage of growth. From those strong roots, a family's unique journey—its family tree—grows and flourishes. We believe in community. We believe it takes a village. And we’re honored to be part of that village—fostering connection, supporting growth, and helping both parents and children thrive with expert care and heartfelt passion.
